YOGA
The yoga classes blend physical (asanas), breathing (pranayama) and meditation and include a basic chi gong detoxifying warm-up routine which you can use after your stay. No previous experience is required. Yoga has many subtle benefits, working the muscles of the body, the mind and the spirit - an activity to reunite body and soul. It is a restorative activity, as well as a slow and graceful physical practice. You will realise how you can help your body to work in an optimum way and encourage relaxation through breathing and meditative practices. Yoga helps rebalance your life and you will leave The Real Retreat with the skill to do so in the future. The style, intensity and level of the class will depend on experience, although some basic elements characterise all classes. These are movements to increase flexibility of the spine, strengthening and balance postures, postures to aid detoxification, breathing, meditation and Chi Gong. There is a blend of traditional Hatha yoga (the form most common in the West) with Kundalini yoga (more movement- based), which will help to rebalance and renew your body and mind. From beginners to experienced practitioners in one-to-one or group sessions yoga will revitalise and restore your energy. It can help you restore calm and confidence and revitalise your relationship with yourself.
