At Duntrune House you can enjoy yoga and painting, have fun with belly-dancing, and enjoy spa, health and beauty treatments.  We also offer specialist speech-coaching.

Your Real Retreat accommodation is in the VisitScotland four-star Gold Duntrune House owned by Barrie and Olwyn Jack. Duntrune is a historic mansion dating from 1826, in eight acres of garden and woodland, five miles north of Dundee. There are sweeping panoramas over the fields to the Firth of Tay. The garden is a paradise for birds and flowers, including wild orchids, and the bee boles in the garden wall are a haven for bees. Duntrune was owned by the Graham family until 1870; the famous Grahams in Scotland's history were John Graham of Claverhouse (Bonnie Dundee), the Jacobite commander killed at Killiecrankie in 1689 in the Wars of the Convenanters, and his kinsman, James Graham, Marquis of Montrose, who fought in the Civil War of the 1640s.

The bedrooms: The four en-suite bedrooms (three with shower only, one with bath and shower over the bath) with twin or super-king beds are decorated to a high standard . All have modern facilities, cosy bathrobes, hospitality tray, hairdryer and specially chosen 'green' toiletries. The bedrooms are spacious, with high ceilings and comfortable, sink-into-and-relax beds and antique furniture, all chosen to suit the ambience of Duntrune. The elegant dining room overlooks the gardens and the log fire makes for a warm welcome. During the three-course dinner, made from the freshest of local produce, you can enjoy the company of your fellow guests and of Olwyn and Barrie Jack. After dinner you can relax by the fire in the sitting room and enjoy a book from our extensive collection.

Duntrune has been awarded Four Stars Gold by VisitScotland and has many excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. We also have a Gold award in the Green Tourism Business Scheme, indicating our high level of commitment to operating in a way which is environmentally friendly.

Duntrune House is not licensed to serve alcohol, but guests are welcome to bring their own to enjoy at the end of the day. There is not a television in the bedrooms, but we can provide one or you can watch television in the sitting room.
